Estimating Internet Traffic
The Internet is expanding rapidly in India. Unless we have reliable
traffic data, the quality of service cannot be improved

As Internet use grows rapidly in India, there is a need to measure the demand for bandwidth at any particular location. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) is a non-profit organisation designed to facilitate efficient utilisation of bandwidth. This article describes a study on behalf of NIXI to measure Internet traffic on its existing nodes and plan for future exchanges.
