We’re a small agency. But we’re all about big thinking. In fact, we don’t let anything restrict our creativity – not media channels, not budgets, not deadlines and definitely not our size. We’ve seen our ideas grow from our studio in downtown Joburg and weave their way into dinner table conversations, Sunday newspapers, TV shows, blogs, Stephen Fry’s twitter feed, CNN Africa, onto the radar of Ellen DeGeneres and a company that advertises at the Super Bowl. Our work’s been going viral before ‘going viral’ was even a thing, with our Nando’s ‘Dictators’ commercial getting a combined 2 million views on YouTube and our ‘Diversity’ commercial reaching almost 2 million views as well. You see, at Black River F.C., we aim to create work that is not only remarkable, but worth remarking about.
The clients we have range from financial services and dot coms to a global food franchise and two car brands. We have DSTV’s local interest channels that include Vuzu Amp, Channel O and Mzanzi Magic as clients and do work for M-Net Movies and M-Net 101. We are generally entrusted with strategy and big creative thinking. We do the old television ad as beautifully as we do online banners. Our ideas have manifested themselves in the form of books, films, augmented reality, events, radio spots and a cut-off finger delivered in a box in the form of a blogger drop. Our ideas are big, unexpected, intelligent, solutions driven and translatable into any platform, media or channel. As an agency, we are nimble, truly South African, smart, authentic and creatively-driven with one aim: generate world-class ideas.
