Working with OgilvyEarth, Ford created the MyEnergi Lifestyle® campaign to showcase how consumers can save 60% on their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint by 55% by combining an affordable plug-in hybrid vehicle, mainstream smart home appliances and solar energy generation. Research and partner products were unveiled at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show and the campaign was extended by on-going regional media events, a national giveaway via Katie Couric’s daytime talk show, and a seasonal press tour.
