Hepatitis C is a complex infectious disease often underestimated by today’s youth. MediaCom Sydney created an online fictional house party experience to educate them on this dangerous but preventable disease. The interactive video ‘House Party’ was hosted on Facebook, where people could invite friends and make choices like who to party with, where to go and what to do. Each choice and its resulting consequences drilled home the message that poor decisions can easily expose you to the dangers of Hepatitis C. The campaign resulted in a 60% increase in understanding of Hepatitis C as a serious and dangerous illness amongst the audience.
