WPP has invested in Spot Runner, an internet-based advertising agency which enables small and medium size businesses to advertise on local TV. From ad purchase to media planning and buying, the entire process is automated online and highly cost effective. Spot Runner currently operates only in the United States. Millward Brown, has acquired ID Consultores, one of the top five market research agencies in Argentina. ID Consultores has had a long relationship with Millward Brown, having operated as a licensee since 1995. The company offers a wide range of qualitative and quantitative services for clients throughout Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay - Burson-Marsteller opens new office in Peru
Burson-Marsteller has opened an office in Lima, Peru, as part of its strategy to strengthen its consulting services for its clients in the Andean Region and consolidating its network in Latin America. Robinson Velez has been appointed as Market Leader of the Peruvian operation. - Bates Asia acquires 51% stake in Apex in China
Bates Asia, the network of creative communications agencies dedicated to the Asian region, has acquired, subject to regulatory approval, 51% of Chengdu Apex Advertising, a leading integrated marketing communications agency in the People's Republic of China. Founded in 1997 with offices in Chengdu, Xi'an and Chongqing, Apex employs 117 people. Clients include Meng Niu Dairy (Mongolian Cow), China National Petroleum Corporation, Zhu Ye Qing Tea, Road Easy Tyres and Pi Xian Tourism
