  • Young & Rubicam has won strategic planning and creative duties for Sony across South East Asia, the Indian sub-continent, South Africa, the Middle East and Australasia
  • SCANA Corp. has signed JWT Atlanta to develop and implement integrated marketing strategies for its energy subsidiaries, alongside RMG Connect and MindShare
  • Wunderman has picked up recruitment website Monster's pan-European customer relationship marketing account. Mediaedge:cia had secured European media planning ad buying duties in April
  • Hill & Knowlton has been appointed official global communications consultancy to South Korean third city Daegu's 2011 IAAF World Championship Athletics bid


People
  • Steve Lin has been appointed new leader for Grey Global Group Greater China, having previously served as Chairman of JWT's highly awarded agency in Taiwan
  • Zuza Tupinambá has been named President of Ogilvy & Mather Brazil. He joins from EURO RSCG, where he was CEO
  • Tony Jewell has joined Burson-Marsteller as Managing Director of its Strategic Team, having served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs for Policy and Strategy at the US Department of Health and Human Services
  • JWT London has hired Hugh Duthrie as Head of Planning, reporting to office CEO Alison Burns. Duthrie was formerly the top planner at TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York


Awards
  • The Leverage Group together with Ogilvy PR Worldwide won an unprecedented three Cause Marketing Halo Awards for work for the Jones Apparel Group
  • Burson-Marsteller took home five Golds at the European SABRE ceremony in Berlin, and was also named the Best Multinational Agency to work for in Europe. GCI London won best Retail Campaign at the same awards
